Nursery Class
Gainsborough Primary School offer three year old nursery provision through our main school nursery class.
The school aims to admit up to 52 full-time equivalent spaces to children in the Nursery class each year. Below is the admissions criteria that will be used in determining a child’s eligibility for full-time or part-time provision in the school nursery class, in order of priority if the nursery year group is over-subscribed; this has been determined in line with the 2021 School Admission Code.

How to apply for 30 hours funding
To apply to see if you are eligible for the 30 free hours childcare for 3 and 4 year olds, you will need to visit the Government website to make an application.
Making an Application
Applications for three year old nursery provision needs to be made directly to the school, by completing the following application form and returning this to the office.
Along with your completed application form, the school will also need to see the following original documents which will be copied and held on your child’s school record:
- Proof of child’s birth (Full Birth Certificate)
- Proof of Parental ID (Passport or Birth Certificate)
- Proof of address
