School Development Priorities

Every academic year, along with the school’s governing body, we set targets to continue the school’s journey towards being outstanding and realising our vision for the children of Gainsborough.

This year, our main targets are as follows:

  • To ensure end of KS2 outcomes are in line with national in maths at AE and GD 
  • To ensure good teaching and learning in science, DT and Music 
  • To implement the Primary Advantage teaching, learning and assessment policy 
  • The school gains nationally recognised accreditations: Artsmark, Green Flag Award, RRS silver, Healthy Schools Status 
  • To ensure the schools IT is efficient and effective and improves outcomes for all learners
  • To ensure good oracy opportunities are planned for, delivered and celebrated across all areas of school life 
  • To ensure teaching and learning is good or better 
  • Leadership is developed at middle leader level to ensure good progress of skills in subjects, excellent curriculum design, modelling and outcomes for all pupils 
  • Improve attendance and punctuality so that they are in line with National averages Curriculum development ensures precision teaching in the  reading, maths and  writing cycles
  • To build an approach to a sustainable school environment and community
