We believe that families know their children best and that sometimes a friendly conversation, a bit of advice or the right support at the right time can make a real difference. Our aim is to work alongside families, not tell them what to do.

We want every child to have the best possible start in life. This includes supporting children’s development, communication, health and wellbeing, while also helping parents and carers with the everyday challenges of family life.

We are part of the Gainsborough school community and work closely with health professionals, early years staff and other local services. This means families can often access several different types of support in one place. This joined up approach reflects Hackney’s wider aim of bringing services together so that families can access the help they need more easily. 

Above all, we want families to feel that they belong at Gainsborough. Everyone is welcome, every family is different and every child matters.
