Curriculum
Our curriculum is rooted in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, with a strong focus on the three Prime Areas of learning: Communication and Language, Physical Development, and Personal, Social and Emotional Development. These areas are prioritised as they underpin all aspects of children’s development and learning. Through carefully planned, play-based experiences and responsive adult interactions, we support children to develop secure relationships, confidence, self-regulation, and effective communication skills.
Outdoor Learning
Outdoor learning is an integral part of our curriculum and is planned to support and extend children’s learning across the EYFS. Children access the outdoor environment daily, where they are provided with opportunities to be physically active, manage risks safely, explore their curiosity, and develop independence. Our outdoor provision supports children’s wellbeing, physical development, and understanding of the world, while promoting resilience, problem-solving, and positive attitudes towards learning.
Timetables
In the Hatchlings and Ducklings Preschool rooms, we follow a flexible, child-centred timetable that responds to the individual needs and interests of each child. Our day includes familiar routines that help children feel secure and allows them time and space to become deeply engaged in their play and learning with the support of familiar adults. This approach supports children’s wellbeing, independence, and confidence, ensuring every child can learn and develop at their own pace in a calm, nurturing environment.
