RRS Ambassadors

The Rights Respecting Schools (RRS) Ambassadors at Gainsborough are pupil leaders who help promote children’s rights across the school and support the school’s commitment to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

Intent

Promoting children’s rights and linking them to school values.


Role & Activities:

  • Raise awareness of rights and responsibilities across the school.
  • Lead assemblies and class discussions on key themes.
  • Ensure pupil voice is respected and heard.

Pupil Voice & Leadership Process:

  • Conduct class research on how well pupils understand and experience their rights.
  • Gather examples of rights being demonstrated in school life.
  • Present findings to senior leaders and contribute to school priorities.
  • Help shape policies that reflect a rights-respecting ethos.
